Ingredients:
3 water glasses of flour
1 water glass of warm water
Salt
1 egg
For stuffing:
250 g low-fat ground meat
1 medium-size onion
Black pepper
Chili flakes
Salt
For cooking:
Butter
2 tablespoons of tomato or pepper paste
For dressing:
Garlic Yoghurt sauce
Peppermint
Sumac
Chili flakes
Preparation:
Put flour in a large bowl and make a hole in the middle. Crack the egg into the hole, add a pinch of water and knead the dough by adding water little by little.
The dough should neither be too firm nor too soft. Make small lumps of dough and roll them one by one into thin sheets that are thicker than phyllo.
Meanwhile, add chili flakes, black pepper, salt and grated onion into the ground meat and knead the mixture a little.
Cut the rolled dough into squares, take pinches of the ground meat and place them on top of the small square pieces of dough.
Bring 4 corners of the square pieces and press to shape them. When the dumplings are ready, add them into boiling water and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small pan and brown the tomato or pepper paste. Add it into the water of the dumplings that are cooking.
After cooking for about 5 minutes more, take the pan off the stove. Put the dumplings in the dishes and pour garlic yoghurt on them.
You can serve the dumplings with peppermint and plenty of sumac dressing. You can also use chili flakes if you like.
