Walnut Burma Baklava
Ingredients:
- 1 package TEKLEZET phyllo dough for baklava
- 3 cups ground walnuts
- 250 g butter
For the syrup:
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 4-5 drops of lemon juice
Instructions:
- Put water and sugar in a pot and boil for 10-15 minutes. Then add lemon juice and boil for
another 5 minutes. Remove from the stove and let it cool.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo on the counter and brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle a sufficient amount of walnuts over it, then roll it up tightly around a thin rolling
pin from the shorter edge. After tightening from both ends, remove from the rolling pin and
place on a baking tray.
